The ARTS All-Star Show Choir was conceptualized by a group of graduating seniors and college freshmen (Shayne Gue, Kaitlin DeSpain, John Wolfe, & Kara Call) looking to take their high school show choir experiences to another level. Realizing that many teens in our area do not have the opportunity to join a competitive show choir, or in numerous cases any show choir at all, they decided to approach Marla Brannan and Arts Resources for the Tri-State as partners.
ARTS is the brainchild of Broadway actress Beth McVey and a group of arts-savvy locals. Its mission is to provide education in voice, dance, drama, musical instruments, and other aspects of the arts as well as a place to perform what has been learned. Though most of the classes are geared toward youth, adults may participate in several ways as evidenced by the large multi-generational casts of Fiddler on the Roof in October of 2006 and Hello, Dolly in October of 2007.
ARTS is one hundred percent behind this "All-Star" Show Choir and determined, along with everyone involved, to make it a success. You can visit the ARTS website by visiting our Links Page.
